"Lovely positioned hotel, town walking distance with everything you need for an evening out. Great hotel throughout and free and easy parking at the rear of the hotel. Would definitely stay again and thoroughly recommend to others. Thank you to all at the hotel."

"A 2 night stay in a small single room. The decor could do with a refresh, but the staff were wonderful, friendly, helpful and kind. A real credit to the hotel. The room had everything I needed, and the hotel has free parking and is easy to get to. Town centre is a gentle stroll away. I would stay here again."

"Lovely hotel stay. We arrived late in the evening and check in was really smooth, the Staff in reception were really helpful and our room was great. Breakfast in the morning was great and we used the hotel swimming pool too. Overall a really lovely stay. We’d happily book again."

"We had a good clean spacious room in the old house. The bathroom was bright and clean but we could have benefitted from a non slip mat in the shower/bath. The place is a little tired and could do with sprucing up but the grounds and antiquity of the place made up for that. The leisure centre pool area was too hot and there was no way to cool down after a sauna as the showers were a fixed temperature. The bar and restaurant were good for the price with a reasonable choice of standard dishes. Overall good value for money but could be a lot better."

"We stayed in mid July. The hotel has a nice vibe but is looking a little bit tired in places and in need of a bit of a spruce. The rooms were incredibly hot. a fan was supplied but it was pretty ineffective. I hate to think what it would have been like during the height of the heatwave when temperatures were 10 degrees hotter. Hotel is well located for the centre of town with everything within a short walking distance. Didn't eat at the restaurant but did use the bar. Staff friendly."
