"The property was in a perfect location for what we needed. Right across the street from Lake Erie, and Jolly Roger's. We could see the lake from our room. The second floor is stairs only, but wasn't a big deal. The breakfast was a typical continental breakfast. It was perfectly fine for what we needed. There was cereal, donuts, bagels, muffins, different toasts, peanut butter, jelly, waffles, yogurt, granola, cinnamon, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, eggs, and sausage. I even made some bougie toast with the cinnamon rasin toast, peanut butter, banana, granola, and cinnamon. The rooms were clean, and the pool was clean, even in the midst of the mayfly swarm. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The only complaint I could say is the mattresses were not what I am used to these days. They are more like the old noisy coil style. The best fix is putting the air unit to a continuous fan for the noise to muffle the mattress noise during the night. That made a world of difference for not hearing each other's every movement. Overall, the accommodations were fine and provided everything we needed. The staff was great. We didn't stay at the hotel much aside from showering, sleeping, and a little bit of pool time so it didn't need to be world class. We would stay again."

"Overall, we had a nice stay and enjoyed the hotel. However, one issue really impacted our experience. We stayed on Holiday weekend and didn't get back to our room until after midnight because we were out watching the fireworks. The next morning, housekeeping knocked on our door around 8:00 a.m. We let them know we were checking out later that morning and politely declined service. About an hour later, housekeeping knocked again, which was frustrating and made it difficult to relax before checkout. For a higher-end Marriott Renaissance property, I was surprised there were no "Do Not Disturb" door hangers or another clear way to let housekeeping know guests don't want to be disturbed. Better communication between the front desk and housekeeping, especially on checkout day, would make for a much better guest experience. I also mentioned this to the front desk, but the response felt dismissive. The associate simply apologized and wished us a good day without asking for our room number or looking into what happened."

"I liked how comfortable the bed was and that it was quiet there. I did not like the paint splatter dried in the tub, gray- hard to see in the photo, when I scrubbed it was coming off so they could have cleaned it. The hot water to the sink in the bathroom was turned off see photo. The coffee supplies were not fully stocked and an old coffee filter was left in the coffee maker. Opening the coffee without ripping the filter inside was a challenge (photo included). There was no signage to make the fitness room easy to find nor for the pool. The ice bucket was missing. On the plus side the laundry machines on site were reasonably priced at $1.50 per load. This stay felt like a three star stay if not for the comfort and quiet. No pictures on the walls in the room was a minus for me."
