A Hidden Gem That Exceeded Expectations

Villa Oleanna is magical. The view from the room, the view from around the property is amazing and mesmerizing. The rooms are terrific, the entire property is wonderful. And the proprietors are caring, warm and everything one would want in a place to stay. Sitting outside with a capuccino looking out at the fjord as the sun sets--- Wow. We will go back as soon as we can.

This place was beautiful! The host is super polite and helpful! Highly recommend and if we ever go back to Norway definitely staying here again. The only minor issue is Expedia advertising one price and then charging extra for more than one person. So look at the prices before you book. Not the owners or the propertys fault though.

The rooms & location are absolutely beautiful, Frøde was very kind and welcoming. I would caution 2 things: 1) that parts of it are still under construction (Aug 2022) And 2) The road to get there is incredibly narrow (think smaller than a normal 1 lane road in the US but it's 2 ways - with busses) and there is very little parking. So if you are driving, I'd recommend a smaller vehicle and you need to be very confident with driving/parking! The best food near by is in Os at Ilya Kafe for food - cute atmosphere, good service & delicious food!

If you want to be close enough to Bergen, but more secluded and quiet, this is a great place. It’s about a 20 minute drive, right on the water near a relaxed community (little town is about 8 minutes away down some winding roads). The views are great. The structure is nice, different units within…almost like a place you might rent out for a wedding or an event for all guests, but the units are also rentable separately. We stayed in an apartment because we like to have a kitchen to do our own thing. The apartment was clean, and pretty much brand new. We had everything we needed to cook (although, adding a coffeemaker might be a good idea). Towels and blankets were comfortable,Wi-Fi worked fine - our devices stayed connected and we casted from our Netflix account a couple of times. If you’re a boating person, you’ll love it. Lots of places to walk around also. It is sort of remote, but that’s what we wanted. The place also has a communal kitchen, some other people staying in individual rooms used it and it was well stocked with everything to prepare meals. Host did up some morning breakfast boxes. You can tell the owner is still doing up some of the rooms, but for the most part it is a nice place, casual, modern, seating areas in the main entry. It’d be great for groups. Parking in the garage was a bit quirky, but we always had a space, came and went as we pleased. Our host was kind and helpful. Bedrooms in the apartment were minimalist, but that’s Scandinavian.

Veldig fint og idyllisk Ferie/bo alternativ.

Utrolig fin idyllisk plass! Veldig service instilt Eiere/personell. Plass en kan finne Ro og Fred! Noe bratt bakke fra parkering og ned til 0etg(havnivå området), men de var behjelpelig med å transportere deg opp og ned bakken med bil, samt behjelpelig med baggasjen! Vi hadde toppetasje i Kompleks, der heis i bygg hadde egen endestasjon rett inn i stua der vi bodde(egen kode på heis for å nå topp etasje). Utrolig fint. Flott utsikt rett over til Ole Bulls Hjem.

Super flot sted der er familieejet. Meget venlig imødekommende vært der fortaler en del historier om stedet og området. Stedet er UTROLIG flot lavet. Det skal bare ses og oplives. Synd der ikke findes 6 stjerner, fordi stedet fortjener det. Vi var der kun enkelt nat, men kommer igen!!!!

My rental car broke down which meant I wasn't going to get in until very late. Frode was very responsive when I messaged him to let him know this. He sent very specific check-in instructions and that was extremely helpful! His place is like going to a spa. It's beautiful and the water view calmed me down after a long travel day. I would highly recommend his place!!!

I love the place... my room had a fantastic view over the water to the small islands... the 2 terrasses for all were great... the boathouse is also fantastic....and the huge kitchen with the dining area is spacious and also has great views... We loved our stay at Villa Oleanna. Svanhild & Frode were such gracious hosts. The property views are amazing and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Each of our kids had their own room and we had a open concept bedroom/ living room/kitchenette area. The place is very clean and nicely decorated. The balcony views and common areas are great as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend.

Super friendly ! We loved the views , it was not a room we have a small department very comfortable! We travel with my husband and two teens and we loved it! Very relax ! It is place to enjoy. It is 20 min from Bergen you will need to have a car ir is not easy to get in. Highly recommend it!
