"We had a wonderful stay at Palazzo Salomone. The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and equipped with every amenity we needed. We particularly appreciated the complimentary coffee and water provided every day. The hotel has a strikingly modern design, and our two-level room was both elegant and innovative. The lighting and window shutters could be controlled digitally, which added a very nice touch. One thing to keep in mind is that the bed is located on the upper level and accessed by a stylish metal staircase, which may not be practical for guests with mobility issues. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Although it is not included in the room rate, it is reasonably priced and offers an excellent variety of high-quality options, accompanied by very attentive and personalized service. The hotel is also home to a Michelin-starred restaurant for 2026. We unfortunately didn’t have the opportunity to experience it during this visit, but it gives us another reason to return! The valet parking service was excellent, especially important when staying in Ortigia with a rental car, given the restrictions on driving within the island. Finally, a special thank you to Claudio at reception, who was exceptionally helpful, attentive, and professional throughout our stay."

"Loved this hotel on the island of Ortigio. Very convenient to all the main sights. Entire city of Ortigio is Walkable and great restaurants nearby. Great breakfast and they offer access to car valet so you can drive up to the hotel and the valet picks up and then delivers the car back when you need it. Highly recommend it."

"I enjoyed four unforgettable days exploring beautiful Ortigia -staying at the Grand Hotel Ortigia, which is a 5-star luxury hotel overlooking the harbor. It is just a short stroll to the must-see landmarks such as the ruins of the Temple of Apollo, the Aretusa Fountain, and the renowned Cathedral of Syracuse. it was built in 1890 and was completely renovated while preserving its classic old-world charm with marble floors, Corinthian columns, and beautiful art-filled common areas. They have an upscale rooftop restaurant and lounge on the third floor, which serves a sumptuous breakfast buffet and has great outdoor seating with spectacular views. I went up to the terrace one evening to enjoy the sunset with an Aperol Spritz and some nibbles and, after the sun went down, an exceptionally talented young man beautifully played his violin serenading the guests. Parking in the old city is a challenge, and not for the faint of heart. But the hotel does have a small lot nearby, but which seemed to stay full and was hard to find. With the helpful staff, I was able to register my rental car to allow me to drive to hotel which is in the restricted tourist zone and I moved my car to their lot one evening once the crowds had dissipated a bit. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and even helped arrange a small group boat tour. This hotel truly deserves its name the Grand Hotel Ortigia Siracusa!"
