"Really lovely B&B in a central location. The staff are so nice, breakfast, and the lady that serves it, was a delight every morning. Very quiet considering its location, less then a 15 min walk from the station and a few minutes from the dome.
One review said the beds are hard, I do agree but I think it’s personal preference as my other half found the bed super comfy.
We would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone. "
"We had an excellent stay. Everything from checking in to checking out was top-notch. This was a great location and all the sites were walkable. Would definitely stay here again."

"Hotel lobby is not on the ground floor. Entrance is a bit difficult to locate. Also, entrance is not welcoming. However, if you make it to the lobby on an upper floor…You will LIKE it.
Public areas & rooms are old European style.
Hotel is clean and well cared for.
Bathrooms are modern and functional.
My room was LARGE and comfortable.
Breakfast was very tasty and selections ample.
Hotel is on Piazza Republica. The music in summer plays until about 2am. I loved it.
If you want peace & quiet=ask for a room NOT facing the piazza. LOCATION is Very Good for all touristic purposes. Bed was excellent."
"The Hotel was perfect. All the staff were polite, friendly and went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. The Consierge, Lorenzo, particularly so. The hotel accommodation was spotless. The location was great and within walking distance of the museums, Duomo and galleries.

"only problem was a/c- and it was the hotest Florence had been in years. The rooftop bar was excellent. Great people, the staff was pleasant and attentive. Go there!"
"The hotel offers plenty of facilities to explore and enjoy. As you walk in, you're greeted by inviting swings that immediately create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hotel has a chic, stylish look that feels friendly, playful, and inviting. It’s right in front of the train station, yet situated on a quiet, safe street away from the main tourist crowds."
"Our stay at Hotel Calimala was nothing short of incredible. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Florence, just a short walk from the Duomo, Uffizi, Palazzo Vecchio, and some of the city’s most elegant shops and restaurants. It made exploring the city effortless.
The hotel itself was immaculately clean, stylish, and thoughtfully designed. Every detail felt intentional. What truly set it apart, though, was the service. Gemma was exceptional - warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. She went above and beyond to make us feel at home.
We’re already looking forward to our next stay. Hotel Calimala will definitely be our go-to in Florence."
"From the moment we arrived, I was impressed by the exceptional service and attention to detail. The staff was incredibly warm, professional, and eager to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Check-in was smooth and efficient, and I immediately felt welcomed.
My room was nice and I appreciated the quiet atmosphere. Housekeeping was consistent and attentive throughout my stay.
Location-wise, the hotel is ideally situated—close to city center and 10 min walk from Train station. Whether you’re visiting for business or pleasure, it’s the perfect balance of convenience and comfort. Truly exceeded my expectations.
I truly cannot say enough good things about my experience. This hotel goes above and beyond in every aspect. They provided us with great recommendations for restaurants and bars. I will absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-tier stay. "
