"This property was in such a great location for our needs. After checking-in, there were a number of restaurants within walking distance and a yummy ice cream shop just down the street. We had a gorgeous view of the Penobscot River and the Penobscot Narrows Bridge which is lit up at night. We lucked out with being there for Bucksport's yearly festival. My kids loved the bouncy houses and shopping at the vendor's tents. We were able to walk right out of our room to see the fireworks that evening. Side note: reviewers mention the outdated comforters, but you can ignore those comments. This is a historic hotel with a certain style. The bedspreads have large flowers, but they are not old."

"Driving by the Country Inn I never would have chosen to book, but we are SO glad that we did! We just needed a quick night on our way from Western NY to Nova Scotia- the check in was quick and friendly, and was right off the expressway. Breakfast included. Everything we needed right there. The only think I would change was the coffee! It was.. less than optimal. Otherwise 110%! "

"I liked the bathroom renovation. Finally a toilet that is high enough to be comfotable. The tub/shower is a beautiful unit. The main room althougth affordably priced is spacious. The air conditioner actually cools the room which is not the case in many hotels. It is also very quiet which is not the case with many units that have all kinds of strange noises. The king bed was very comfortable. In the past, we have not been impressed with Super Eight but this one is definitely different in many positive ways."

"We stayed for two nights, in town for a wedding. Overall, everything was wonderful. A few things need improvement from our stand point. The accessible room was tight upon entering the space with the wheelchair. My husband had to enter all the way into the space in order to turn his wheelchair around to then go forward towards the bathroom which was off the entry hall area. There were NO electrical OUTLETS next to the bed. The clock wasn't plugged in. I think there might have been an outlet behind the headboard, but the lamps on either side of the bed occupied the available outlets. We had to charge our phones away from the bedside which was inconvenient. Another slight negative was that we had to pay for parking. The hotel uses the airport parking lot. We received a discount for each night of overnight parking, but still had to pay $12 per night. On the plus side, the room was clean, with a super comfy bed, the bathroom was roomy and had accessible features for my husband (grab bars throughout, and a shower bench for the bathtub, a handheld shower head). We enjoyed the BEST BREAKFAST we've ever had at a hotel (twice). The coffee was perfect, the food was excellent. I have to give high praise to the breakfast server, Julie. She managed the entire room by herself and gave excellent service, topping off our coffee at timely intervals. She was polite, expedient, and professional. We would stay here again if we found ourselves in Bangor."
