"I was fooled by the photo on the website that it is walking distance to the beach. However you can still walk to town in 25mins. The bonus is laundry facilities in the room. I was surprised to find out that the price has dropped to $200 instead of $250 p/night if I book on the day. That makes me not wanting to pre book anymore."

"Aroha (hostess) was so kind. I figure we were the last check-in of the day and she was waiting for us at the counter. She was so kind and helpful. The room was clean, spacious, and had an amazing view. Aroha had even turned the heat pump heater on so the room was warm when we checked in (bear in mind we went in July so it was winter). The apartment's amenities (kitchen, laundry, dishwasher) were in excellent working order. Mt. Maunganui was within a stone's throw (but the trails were closed to recent land slips) and there were loads of great beaches, shops, and restaurants within walking distance. I would happily stay here again."
