"There is NO beach. It’s like a rundown marina. The closest beach is 40 mins. There is nothing close to the stay. I wish I booked something in the center of the city because it was nearly impossible to get a taxi or a grab. And when you did it was very expensive ($40 CAD). Its not worth booking this place to save money. Also the address brings you about 3 blocks away from the actual property. You have to walk through sketchy streets. Its a shame because the staff is so sweet."

"Overall, the experience was only nice because of the proximity to the beach and the sunsets. Other than that, it has been such a disappointment. The cleanliness standards are so low - the food was left outside door, multiple staff walk past the door and no one cleared it. Ants were all over the place. The AC was leaking water, wasn't cooling the room despite maintaining it at a constant 18 degrees. The staff were a cherry on top of this, so hostile, rude and incompetent. Brace yourself with a lot of patience before you decide to enter the place."
"If you are planning to go to Grand world vinwonders or the Safari. This a great option. Shuttle service from the airport was eay and convenient and getting to all these e places are super convenient as well due to the free shuttle service "
"This place can’t be 5 star resort. I would say 3.5.
By the pool
- No wi-fi connection,
- No one to service hence empty cans and glasses by the beach chairs left in the morning will be there until evening.
Room
- they do make up your room but longer you stay, it gets more sandy. I guess they don't vacuum,
- more than half of the electrical outlets had something stuck inside and could not be used,
Restaurants
- overall really pricy for Vietnam if you didn’t go for all inclusive package.
- 4 restaurants open for dinner, Mexican, Spanish, Burger/street food, and buffet,
- Mexican restaurant has really limited selections, 3 starters, 3 main dishes, 4 tacos and 1 dessert, if I remember correctly,
- Spanish restaurant has more options but just ok quality,
- Burger/ street food restaurant is the place we used the most. Lots of options and good quality.
I don’t know if overall quality applies to different resorts in Phu Quoc, but I would not come back again to Phu Quoc.
Rather go back to Phuket or Bali on my next beach holiday."
"I paid a premium for a beach-view room but was assigned a pool-view one instead. When I raised the issue, staff dismissed it, noting only a partial beach glimpse was visible by leaning over—far short of expectations.Upon check-in, the air conditioning was non-functional. Curtains didn’t work, scale was non functional. Had to call numerous time to get one thing complete.Pool staff displayed consistent rudeness, appearing disengaged and jaded. Customer service overall was underwhelming, with restrictive policies on pool towels and buffet was below average.
The complimentary shuttle operated without organization, resulting in chaotic conditions unsuitable for families with young children—we ceased using it immediately.
Entertainment continued until 10 p.m. right front of pool, so couldn’t get the kids to bed early. These issues collectively undermined our stay and raise concerns about leadership and operational standards. Grandworld is a big fail with low quality foods and predatory price gouging. Pay for 5 star and get 2 star treatment. It’s one and done for us."
"Great location by the beach but a short walk to the village which had many shops & restaurants. Lovely big room. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast & reasonably priced good quality food at the restaurant. Enjoyed the happy hour cocktails watching the sunset."
"Great destination with very friendly helpful staff.
I had a beach hut with private pool and sea view, superb! Breakfast variety was good and the sea view restaurant very good."
"This resort is magnificent! The sunsets are dreamy! The staff is so lovely, especially Lucy and An whom made our stay extra special. Breakfast is so yummy and our ocean view room with a view is gorgeous and tranquil. The grounds are meticulous and gorgeously tropical. We absolutely loved our stay!"
