"This is a family ran lodge with plenty of character. Rudy and Claudia are very helpful and attentive The dogs, cat, llama and little rabbit are super friendly as well. Perfect place to kick back and relax, it is a little tough to get in and out of there so plan accordingly. The place is a little rough on the edges, but that is the exact appeal. "This was incredible. If you are looking for a 5 star resort this may not be for you , but if you want a real authentic experience with an incredible view , I mean incredible. (This is saying a lot as I am from Alaska and have a high level of expectation for views ) the family that runs the base camp and restraint were so sweet this was one of the most memorable stays I’ve had in my life. "Wow I don’t even know where to start. Jorge was an incredible host! You walked into his establishment and immediately felt at home. Jorge adopted you as family right then. He was attentive to requests, ensured easy taxi pick up/drop off, made sure your stay was comfortable. Breakfast was provided and everything was fresh! Eggs made to order, fruit sliced that morning. Fresh fruit juices, teas, coffee made. Every interaction I had with Jorge and his family was positive. He even upgraded our room when he found out we were there celebrating birthdays. I cannot recommend his place enough!! The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. I had beautiful views of mountains and Incan ruins from my window. The area was quiet even being close to a busy street. The location was prime for walking to markets, restaurants, shops, etc."

"Lovely hotel. However, we did not get the rooms that we booked. We booked a Family room with a balcony and views, and a Superior Triple Room. When we arrived, there were apparently no more Family Rooms with balconies available, so our rooms were switched. Our kids in the Superior Triple Room got the balcony and views, while we did not. They need a better booking system."
