"Found this place last year after staying at other hotels in Port A and I can say the rooms are big with comfy beds, awesome AC and their continental breakfast is really good, lots to choose from. Parking can be short and tight if the hotel is fully booked but overall have not had any issues once staying at this hotel. Staff are cordial. Have not tried the bar but I hear its nice. Will stay here again."

"I didn't like that when I went to go check in, I was told my room was canceled. On the booking site, it said , PAY AT PROPERTY at check in.... When I went to check in and pay, I was told that my credit card couldn't be processed.. Why are they trying to run my credit card if I hadn't even checked in? Now if I had gone in, in person and my card couldn't be processed, then I would understand it being canceled.. I booked this room in January and had the funds to pay at check in.. I asked if there was a way to pay for the room at the time but my room was already taken.. It would have been nice to get a phone call or email stating the issues and I got nothing.. My family of 6 had to find another place to stay for the night.. Never would I want to book or never would I recommend this place.."

Wyndham Corpus Christi Resort North Padre Island

"I was very disappointed with my stay at Wyndham Corpus Christi Resort North Padre Island. The first issue occurred before we even got into our room. We arrived early and were told our room was available and ready, yet the hotel wanted to charge an additional $80 just to check in a few hours early. Charging that much for access to an empty room that was already prepared felt excessive and left a poor first impression. Unfortunately, things did not improve after check-in. A dog in a nearby room barked continuously for nearly two hours straight. I called the front desk to report the issue, but nothing was done to resolve it. The barking continued and made it impossible to relax in the room. To make matters worse, dogs were barking throughout the evening and well into the night, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. While I understand this is a pet-friendly property, guests should still be able to enjoy a reasonably quiet stay. Between the excessive early check-in fee, lack of response to noise complaints, and constant barking dogs, this stay did not meet expectations. I would not choose this property again and would recommend others consider these issues before booking."

"If you want an affordable stay, I recommend this place!! We had five rooms for my family and me and it was a good experience for the most part! The hotel would benefit from adding an outdoor shower because the bathtubs are likely damaged from the sand (making some of them a bit unsightly) but everything functioned fine. The rooms are nice and big and I believe most come with a sleeper sofa so a double queen room can really fit at least six people, which is great. The staff is very nice and helpful. The breakfast is fine - about what you’d expect for a continental brek. Pool and hot tub are great. Charcoal grills outside the hotel came in handy. If you are picky about pillows, bring your own. Beds and sheets comfortable otherwise :) Would also recommend a name change. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk and 5 mins drive to the beach. For the price, I’d say this is a great deal and we will be coming back!"

"The outside of the property is not very aesthetic, but don’t let that fool you! The amenities are well taken care of and the rooms are very nice. The staff is so nice and helpful anytime we needed anything they were all so accommodating. Breakfast was very good not many options but they had the classic waffles, bacon , potatoes and cereal etc. The hotel is very central to everything although the island is not very big I found we didn’t have more than a 7 min drive to anything. I would definitely stay here again, you can’t beat the price, hospitality, free breakfast and pool that stays open late!"
