"Do yourself a favor and stay here the rooms are not incredibly updated, but they are incredibly clean and well-maintained and the overall aesthetic of the place is top shelf, but the glowing star of the entire place are the Jamaican staff that run the place you will not find nicer people that are more accommodating and friendly not to mention the café is a 10 out of 10 highly recommend this place also lots of parking"
"We enjoyed the charm of the inn. Each room had a uniqueness. The staff was very accommodating during all of our interactions. We took stars away because the self service coffee station was not maintained very well. There were shortages of items and at time it wasn’t always clean. Breakfast was not put until 8am which is late if you want to get an early start. Brewed coffee wasn’t available until 8 am either. Earlier than that time, there were only k-cups. The deck is only staffed until 8 pm which means that a night time cup of tea could not be had if all the tea bags were gone. We were on the third floor and the elevator was broken the whole time we were on property. The deck area is a great sanctuary to relax in, however the deck and cushions had leaves and droppings from the trees that had to be swept away prior to sitting down. We didn’t see any attempt by management to maintain this area on a scheduled basis. It might have been short staffing early in the season, but the price point demands more. The room was clean and there were plenty of linens. We enjoyed our stay but expected that there would be more attention to details."
"I never post reviews on places I stay, but this deserves some attention. It was my error to book with Expedia instead of booking with the inn directly. I also did not realize that I could make specific requests for my stay. So for that I take responsibility. What I don't take responsibility for is the check-in. I felt as if I the guest wasn't truly important enough to engage with. Not a friendly smile or hello.. It was name and here are your keys.. The back patio was a mess from the trees which found themselves in every corner and crevice. Understandable, but please don't tell me it had been cleaned 4 times that day or any other day. Never really recovered throughout the stay. Breakfast was lack luster.. and the in room coffee milk was spoiled.
If you are an early riser like me, 8 am really does not work. I learned my lesson the first morning when the back door was lock. I asked if I could set up in cafe room with a laptop and was denied. and then the door locked behind me.. really!!
It's off season and that is what makes Nantucket great. The location to downtown is good. The parking is hit or miss. Probably not going to book the fall with this inn. There are many other good places to stay."
