"The location is perfect, right in the middle of everything. You can walk everywhere. The hotel is nice, they have a gym and a pool but we didn’t use them. Breakfast is good. Our room was very spacious but a bit hot- outside was chilly but the windows open very little so they had a fan. Staff is very friendly, and nice."

"Perfect location for Castle, with steep steps or steep uphill walk to get to it. Car park big advantage but get there early as got full by 3pm on day I went. You can use the other Apex hotel car park a very short distance down on the street. Very helpful and friendly staff on reception and at breakfast. Twin room a good size but not massive, bathroom has separate shower and bath which is so much better than shower in bath. All cleaned to high standard. Usual kettle tea and coffee with milk in fridge Breakfast discount available on the day and 2 free drinks vouchers given which was appreciated. One of the best buffet breakfasts I have had and could order from a breakfast menu as well so you should never go hungry. Excellent value for money in a busy city hotel"

"The hotel was in a great spot, everything that we wanted to do was about a ten minute walk. There are also lots of buses and trains. I would honestly stay here again but I would choose a room with a window. I didn’t mind not having one because they have a curtain and mood lights to make it look like there’s a window but I just would have preferred it since we stayed for four nights. Staff was great and they have lots of info about the city!"
