"There is no reception and the only way to get the keys is to call some guy that comes over and gives the keys. Since the hotel has no reception or computer, they don't know who is coming, so I better bring a receipt of payment and a booking confirmation. The fact that the staff barely speaks German or English is also not making this complicated conversation any easier. The rooms were ok though and at least very cheap."

I stayed here for a week while visiting my son in Bonn and was blown away by the care the owners put into running it. They handle everything themselves—front desk, cleaning, breakfast—and go out of their way to help with directions, recommendations, and anything else you might need. The rooms appear recently renovated and cleaned daily with great attention to detail. My only small gripe: the foam mattress was firmer than I prefer. A pillow topper might help—next time I’ll ask! Breakfast is simple, fresh, and inexpensive. You can easily opt in by texting the day before. For a great local option, try Meyman around the corner next to the station—amazing Turkish breakfast for 20 euros (cash only). I’ve stayed in many places around the world, and this one stands out. It combines the warmth of a B&B with the independence of a hotel. If I return to Bonn, I know exactly where I’ll be staying."
