"Plus sides: next to the Donkey Sanctuary and the ability to cook for yourself. Now for the downsides. Where to begin? *Couldn't get into contact with the owner for check-in, arrival times, code to the key box or anything. Only after contacting Travelnest (the third company in charge of advertising the property) by phone on the day of check-in, I got a very short email from the owner about the check-in time (an hour later than advertised) and code for the key box. "Middle of March and still fairly cold .Main heating doesn’t stay long enough to heat up the apartment.I had to use the electric heating which run on a meter .I ended up paying £15 on the electricity meter for heating ,lights and cooker for 3 nights stay .The downside for me was paying to keep the electricity going .Just be aware when booking ,they have the old electricity meter where you have to pay extra to keep the electricity going for the duration in your stay "

Overnight stay for Powderham Castle Gig.

"Overnight stay for a gig at Powderham Castle. Great hotel just off the motorway spotlessly clean, modern with super friendly staff. Rooms are lovely, functional and quiet. Spacious bathroom and wonderfully comfortable beds. Light and airy communal areas and a large outdoor seating area with table service for the bar/restaurant. Fab buffet breakfast too. Whilst I don’t think there’s much within walking distance it suited our needs perfectly and would 100% stay here again."
