"We enjoyed our stay at Lakeside Resort Penticton and appreciated our room, especially the partial lake view. The property has a beautiful setting and a lot of potential, but unfortunately, the overall experience did not quite match the price we paid.
While the room was generally comfortable, we felt that some details could have been improved. The mattress was not as comfortable as we expected, and a better-quality bed would make a big difference in the overall guest experience. We also felt that the housekeeping service could have been better. We stayed for three nights and requested fresh bed sheets, including placing the linen change sign, but unfortunately this was not completed.
In addition, the room could have felt fresher and more welcoming. Small touches such as a pleasant scent or more attention to room freshness would have helped create a more comfortable stay.
We were also surprised that breakfast was not included, especially considering the nightly rate. We travel locally quite often and understand that hospitality costs have increased, but we also expect the level of service, comfort, and amenities to reflect the price being charged.
We don’t usually leave negative feedback, but we wanted to share our honest experience. The resort has a great location and beautiful surroundings, but improving the details — from room upkeep and bedding comfort to overall guest service — would help make the stay feel more worthwhile."
