"I loved my stay at Shell Island Resort! The staff were great, my room was clean, (King) huge, kitchenette was so handy, a separate living space w a big flatscreen tv and then…there is the most stunning part of this Resort…a full balcony with comfy chairs and a table with OCEAN FRONT VIEWS!!! For those who love the sea and from one who grew up by the Sea I can’t get enough! I will be back often! Even if it’s cold outside being by the sea, there’s nothing more relaxing to the human mind and body. I give Shell Island Resort a 10 star rating!!"

"From the first step I took into the lobby, the stay was perfect. Staff was friendly and acted as though they knew me. The lobby, breakfast area, halls and rooms were spotless. Every staff member I encounter from the front desk, housekeeping, maintenance and breakfast staff were friendly and happy. Any time I visit Wilmington from now on, this is where I’ll be staying"

"The rooms were exceptionally clean. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were crisp white and looked new. I especially liked that there was no carpeting in the room. The flooring was some sort of composite, which added to the brightness and cleanliness. The room also had an efficient kitchenette with a large refrigerator and dishwasher. Very well appointed for an extended stay. I especially liked the closet having 2 access doors, one from the hall and the other from the bathroom. I would definitely recommend this hotel for the comfort and convenience of location and efficiency of the small kitchen. The staff was also very cordial and welcoming to this weary traveler "
