Unwind amidst national park serenity with ocean views and a sandy beach just minutes away at this country house retreat.
"We stayed in early March when next to nobody was holidaying. Essentially, we had the estate to ourselves! The breakfast was worthwhile. The room and facility was immaculate and beautifully presented. Even in peak season, the expansive estate offers tranquility and long views over patures to the Atlantic which is an easy 1km stroll to dramtic cliffs and the Fishermas trail. Highly recommended though, being off season, the diningroom was closed. O Sacas, a seaside restaurant, is a 5min drive to a...

"This was a magical experience! Know you are staying on a farm so it is not about squeaky cleanliness. The room was basic with 3 beds in one room and a couch but it was all we needed to enjoy this unique property with peacock males dancing and showing their plumage and the mothers exhibiting their babies. Preschool groups visited and the staff were amazing. I liked that they were protecting the animals while allowing close interaction. Make sure you get the breakfast! It is beautiful and you can...

"A lovely hotel situated in the middle of a rural area so driving is a must. Indoor and outdoor pools, sauna and treatment rooms available.
Food was good but repetitive so most days we had breakfast then spent of the day out and had dinner before going back to the hotel."

"The room layout was weird. Same door swings to close toilet or shower , one or the other. Very strange. 6th floor room overlooked suites on 5th floor’s decks and their personal hot tubs so not comfortable using our balcony. These rooms also opened to hallway that looked down into atrium so nightly shows in lobby were very loud- we managed- and price was right so all okay. Lastly breakfast does not measure up to others on our Portugal trip. Cold pancakes/ Waffles every day. Buffett catered to European customers understandably but would have liked non fatty bacon, cream for coffee and maybe cream cheese and smoked salmon.
Our experience in the restaurant was awful. Understaffed- ordered red wine, they bought us a bottle of white, the chicken entree took over an hour to appear. Many empty tables, but the waitress turned away newly arriving guests. Very strange. BUT the food was good.
Great location/ 45 minutes via boardwalk to marina and town. Took some time getting used to the 2 elevators on different ends to get out to private pool. Hotel on a step hill so 2 connected buildings. Overall an okay stay and upscale clean resort but could not recommend. . "
"It’s a beautiful property with amazing access to the beach, but the rooms are old. It needs refurbishment, and it needs a lot of love. (to be honest it is not a five star room to any standards.) however the staff is amazing. Amazing breakfast the most beautiful view you can imagine and private access to the beach. Makes it a fantastic place to stay if you’re looking for a four star hotel "
"lots of choices for breakfast
pool area could have been made
more attractive with some planters - it was spring bit we saw other hotels with attractive surroundings
bird droppings were evident and didnt see any staff cleaning the area daily"
"Could not ask for a better location in Portimao. Very central and across the road from the beach. Very extensive breakfast buffet. comfortable room. Very helpful staff. Portimao is about 45 min drive from Faro and 25 min from Lagos, so it's a good central location. Would highly recommend."
"Was quite a nice stay for a reasonable price. You get what you pay for. Staff were friendly and the hotel was right outside the main strip so close to the beach and shops.
Only downside is it’s right outside the local clubs and bars so if you go bed early it can be a bit noisey"
"Decent property, conveniently close to train station. Our large room included 2 sofas using bedding mattresses (so each could sleep 1 for a total of 4). Separate bedroom. Fairly new. Microwave + fridge. One very small TV in main room (none in bedroom). Our 1st floor room (2nd floor by North American standards) had a small ant infestation (at least nothing like bedbugs or other bad news critters). Building construction across the street meant a bit of noise but the noise was fairly low-level (not sure if this was due to good sound insulation or just the new building contractors weren't doing very noisy work) and did not start until a bit after 8am. There's a big grocery store just down the street. AC seemed to work fine (though we didn't experience hot days)."
"Apart from a burnt-out overhead light in the bathroom, my room and experience were top-notch. The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. The buffet breakfast was superb, and the setting—right along the beachfront—could not have been any better. I highly recommend the Algarve Casino."
