The location is perfect as well - right at the end of hustle and bustle of Main Street but easy walking access to everything. Also, we had stunning views of the glacier and peaks from our room! "The hotel was very cosy, quite cool inside even in the middle of August.
From our room 15, we had a great view over the mountains.
The front desk isn’t always manned, so you can only check in from 16:00 and have to leave by 11:30.
There’s also no bar or restaurant at the hotel, despite the website description. Although there are a lot of choices in Grindelwald itself.
Parking ya the hotel is plentiful and easy. Although walking to and from the hotel maybe difficult for those less able. "
"The bedroom and the hotel was so clean and fresh. The view of the Eiger from our bedroom was amazing and I never tired of seeing it. Staff were friendly but not intrusive. The hotel had a calm feel. Located slightly outside the town meant that it was a peaceful setting while still being close enough to facilities. I would certainty book to stay at Grindellodge again in I was holidaying in the area. "

Varena at the front desk was so kind and helpful, and the gentleman at the hotel restaurant in the mornings was so kind and hospitable. We don’t leave reviews often but this was an A+ stay for us. "
