"Everything was great besides the bed. It was hard as a rock, some people like a hard bed. I like mine to be soft. You can’t make everyone perfectly happy. That said, the service, cleanliness, nice looking rooms and free breakfast make this the best place to stay in the area, imho. I’ll be back with a 3” memory foam topper. "

"We had to cancel our reservation the day before due to family care conflict. We were devastated but figured our plans were shot. Long story short we were able to proceed with our concert and although we canceled within the 24hr window, the Gateway hotel refunded us our original canceled reservation, booked us another room with no hassle at all. Our first time staying here and from setting, to staff and room everything was top notch and clean/ inviting. The pool area/ jacuzzi were very nice and quiet. How the staff and property worked with us last minute was exceptional and much appreciated. My wife and I will 1000% be back, do yourself a favor and check out this Hotel and the surrounding shops. You won’t be disappointed! "

"Our stay was wonderful. The attention to detail in all of the antiques, furniture, lights, art pieces was exquisite. My only complaint would be that the bathroom fixtures were missing two lightbulbs which made it a kind of gloomy experience....but maybe that's part of the charm?!"

"I do NOT write reviews for anything I do, anywhere I go, or anything I buy. Seriously. I had to change that policy after staying at the Robin’s Nest. Bill & Karen have set up an amazing location that NEEDS to be shared with anyone that is traveling through that area. The grounds are beautiful. The interior decorations are delightful. The food was artistic and delicious. The conversations/personalities of our hosts were as charming as can be. There was nothing I disliked about our stay. Having traveled from Southern California several times to pick-up/drop-off my child from UC Davis over the last 4 years, I wish I had known about this place sooner. I would much rather have stayed here than at the hotels we’ve frequented. The prices are even lower than most of the hotels we have stayed at. I cannot recommend this B&B highly enough. Feel free to stay and find out why this will be the go-to location for my family to stay from this point forward."
