"I chose this hotel because it had a rooftop bar, but as it turns out it is Seasonal and was not open. Even though it was 80 degrees it still was not opened. The bar in the hotel closed at 9pm and we wanted something to be opened later. As it turns out, this area closed down early so nothing was opened late, not the fault of the hotel, but I thought I would mention that for anyone else who is looking for a late night cocktail. Otherwise the hotel was very nice and clean and a safe neighborhood. Would stay there again. "

"We love the Palmer House! This is our “go to” hotel when we travel to Chicago. It is close to theaters, concert halls, Michigan Ave with museums, restaurants, parks, etc. The hotel lobby is incredible! A great place to relax, have a beverage, people watch, and enjoy. The room we recently stayed in was beautiful! We were surprised with a suite and so much room to enjoy."

"Hotel is definitely has the social club atmosphere and no parking at this property best to make a reservation for parking at Tower garage that’s what the requirements are…Please check your receipt before leaving I was charged for the bar and never used the bar or restaurant…. I am not sure where the advertising picture comes from and the hotel is too dark for me I prefer a more family oriented not Social Club… It’s great if you’re looking for a social crowd in the lobby with dim lights"
