"In fairness before I booked i knew it was 23 miles away from the center but didnt think it was that far...because of the winding roads ir takes about 30 to 35 mins each way to the center of town and the hotel doesnt have a shuttle service. Taxi driver from the airport became my driver the entire time there so it worked out! Staff was super friendly and the restaurant ( Bajo Banana) had some amazing sunsets and good food. "This four night stay was amazing. The hotel is conveniently located close to the airport and the town with no noise from aircraft. The swimming pool near the main building was too cold as it did not get much sun but the one by the sea was a lovely temperature and the music was a chilled out vibe. Staff were always smiling and helpful, although checking in was far too slow and we had to spend a couple of hours in the restaurant from 3pm to 5pm before we could get into the room. However, this was made up for slightly with us being able to get late check out for one of our rooms so we could enjoy more of our last day. The rooms are spacious with good AC and water pressure in the showers was good too. Breakfast was varied with nice pastries and a crepe/waffle stand but no bacon which let down the english breakfast and the fruit could have been more varied. Coffee was great though. Would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a relaxing time in Labuan."

"Wonderful little resort with such kind and helpful staff. Well worth the price especially with breakfast included. The sunset views and atmosphere were great. We wish we stayed longer than two nights especially since it took a while to get to on the public ferry! The only thing to note is that it is about a 30 minute walk from the ferry port so most people use horse and cart to get there."

"The swell villa was really beautiful, well equipped and clean. We relaxed there for 2 days after a lot of travelling around Indonesia. The restaurant is excellent and f&b generally very good indeed. The staff are clearly well knitted team and knew what they were doing. The setting for the restaurant is very pretty. They do need to do something with housekeeping. The turn down service did not do much. We did get the pool cleaned as on arrival it was cloudy. We asked for daily pool towels etc and cleared the old ones ourselves. Glasses were not cleaned. I would not be put off by this as the villa is exceptional but just be aware that you should ask for these things to be done"
