"Myself and my husband felt uncomfortable by few of the staff. We were asked to verify ourselves and the validity of our stay. No idea the reason behind as I chose not to push the matter and Im not the to assume but the behavior was definitely off putting. Hotel itself was lovely. Nothing extraordinary."

"When booking this stay, I was wary of the small room and shared bathrooms. My son and I were traveling together and got the kind with a twin room. We were very pleased with the comfort of the room and the cleanliness of the shared bathrooms. Staff were definitely on their game. I would recommend this place to anyone and would stay there again."

"I chose Irving House at Harvard because the photos looked charming, and for my first trip to Massachusetts, it felt like the perfect New England inn experience. Getting there from the airport was an adventure, with my GPS sending me through what felt like every street in Cambridge before I finally arrived. Parking was my first concern. There is no street parking directly outside, but the inn has a limited number of spaces next to the building. Thankfully, I found one, although squeezing my SUV into the spot took some effort. Before entering, I was greeted by two surprisingly large rats near the ivy-covered exterior. It was both cute and alarming—like something straight out of Cinderella. Inside, I received an actual room key and was welcomed with fresh chocolate chip cookies, which were delicious. The inn is historic, so there is no elevator. My room was on the fourth floor, making the trek upstairs with luggage quite the workout. The room was cozy and full of character, with antique furniture, a skylight, and a comfortable bed. It had a charming "grandma's house" feel. While the TV was small and the view was mostly a brick building, the room had everything I needed and I slept surprisingly well both nights. The highlight was the complimentary breakfast. The oatmeal, yogurt, toast, hard-boiled eggs, tea, and bananas were excellent. I also enjoyed the evening hot cocoa. My only complaint was the silence in the breakfast room—I could hear every conversation and every crunc"

"Clean, comfortable and quiet. Fresh ground coffee 24/7 w available creamers. A nice breakfast bar, basic eggs, potatoes, meat, cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit. Breakfast bar is kept stocked as guests deplete the serving trays. Foods are refilled and fresh. Hotel is so clean! There’s a really cool gym across the street that is available to guests too. You have to sign out a key. I will stay here again on my next trip to Boston."
