"Staff worked very hard to accommodate us - especially the restaurant staff. Hotel was very clean but very busy. Hotel was fully booked. Pool water was nice. However, the beaches were littered with Horse poop. While the beaches are not the property of the hotel, I think the Hotel could exert more pressure on the people giving horse rides to clean up their mess. Not sure how this affects the ocean water quality."

"We fell in love! This is our first time with the Grand Velas brand. We normally stay with the impressions side of secrets but I’m glad we decided to try this resort. It has literally ruined it for us and we can’t see ourselves going to another brand. The service, food and cleanliness is at a meticulous level. We went for 6 days 4 nights. We never had a bad drink or bad food. Everything was absolutely fabulous. Kenia and Patricia on the adults side of the pool are amazing. Omar and Jose Jairo fantastic bartenders with amazing personalities. We enjoying sitting at the swim up talking to them all afternoon. While at the pool we did notice a few guests being rude to the bartenders and snatching bottles of their hands. I hope this is something that doesn’t happen often At the French restaurant where we had dinner twice, Daniel and Angel went above and beyond for us. Extremely kind and knowledgeable, giving great suggestions. I really liked that the manager for the French restaurant runs a strict ship there because everything runs soo smoothly. He also kept checking on us to make sure we were satisfied with everything. The housekeeper for our room and turn down service did a wonderful job each time. Every single employee there is friendly, amazing and sooo hardworking. The hotel is impeccable! We truly were blown away and can’t wait to come back. "
