Ok for one or two nights on business trip

Needed room for night stay only - this room was ok for this. Hotel is old. But comparing to other hotels in Nouakchott, this one is ok.

Perfekt hotell centralt i Nouakchott.

Mycket bra hotell för att vara Nouakchott. Allting fungerade. Vatten och el hela tiden och bra inkluderad bufféfrukost. Odubbade engelska filmer på TV:n och wifi fungerade perfekt på rummet. Gratis transport till flygplatsen. Gångavstånd till centrum och bra, billig restaurang bara några hundra meter bort. Kan verkligen rekommendera detta hotell för bekvämt boende.

Ich war dienstlich in Nouakchott. Das Hotel ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, hat aber eine gut funktionierende WLAN-Verbindung und einfache, aber saubere, klimatisierte Zimmer. Der Transfer von und zum Flughafen funktionierte sehr gut. Das Team und vor allem die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Preis für die Übernachtung ist recht hoch, das ist aber allgemein so in der Stadt.

In a place with few options, this one is OK.

Good business hotel. Near the Embassy area. Not many other choices in Nouakchott. Friendly staff. Apologetic when they did not pick me up at the airport on arrival, as arranged. The restaurant was surprisingly good. I had several different fish dinners during my stay, and they were very tasty with generous servings. Breakfast was spartan with 5 kinds of bread, canned fruit cocktail, juice. Communication would have been easier if I spoke French--that is not their fault. Overall a good experience. They kindly held my luggage for 8 hours from checkout to my flight departure time.

Discreto il cibo al ristorante; prima colazione molto modesta. Problema: non viene accettato pagamento con carta di credito per pranzi o cene. Altro problema: non c'è ascensore>>> problematico per disabili L' unico vero vantaggio è la posizione, al ridosso dell' aeroporto, per chi arriva la notte, e riparte il giorno dopo.

Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut. Leider hat es mit dem Shuttle Service ab Flughafen erst geklappt nach telefonischer Rückfrage im Hotel. Die Umgebung bietet nicht viel, direkt an staubiger und lärmiger Strasse. Wenn man draussen auf dem Sitzplatz des Hotel einen Kaffee trinken will kommen ständig fremde Leute vorbei und wollen irgend etwas.

Good older hotel

I think this is the oldest hotel in Nouakchott and the rooms could do with an update but I was quite happy with my stay. I found the staff to be helpful and got no nasty surprises. It's in a very good location.

Il prezzo pagato della camera per una notte, oltre € 90, non è supportata dalla qualità dell' alloggio. Inoltre, pur essendo comodo per vicinanza all' aeroporto, non si trova in zona particolarmente gradevole.
