"Booked through hotels.com. Credit card was charged even before arrival at hotel and check-in time was 3pm. Got to hotel and tried to have charges allotted to me changed but was told couldn’t happen because it was done through third party booking. Got to room and our king size room only had one chair. My brother’s king size room had two chairs. Our room had dated tub shower unit and brother’s room had an updated shower unit. There are no longer telephones in your room. When going to dinner, asked young man at desk if housekeeping could bring up chair to room was told housekeeping was gone for the day. He finally said we could take one from the lobby. Didn’t seem too keen on helping. Then asked why my credit card was charged $20 for each room and was told it was for incidentals and if everything was ok with room at end of stay that it would be reimbursed. Noticed a sticker on bathroom mirror that housekeeping would only be done every other day which meant none during our stay. Next morning, I had an almost lukewarm shower, but my spouse managed to get a hot shower. My sister in law said her shower seemed to be timed and water got cooler.
Went to breakfast and buffet style most of the hot items, eggs and sausage patties were slightly warm. The day after the breakfast buffet was better. Upon Sunday checkout, the 2- $20 incidental credits did not post to our credit card until Monday and it is still showing pending status and it is now Friday."
"Kind and helpful staff. We asked to be moved from a ground floor room to a higher level floor (at 10pm) and the staff member did whatever he could to make this happen. It is a small and cute hotel, very close (5 minutes) from Colgate University. "
"Rented 2 rooms for a 3 day stay. One room was missing a trash can, the microwave that was stated in the description that came with the room, and a towel bar near the tub. It wasn't a big deal, the other room we rented had all of these, so we shared a microwave and hung the towels on the hook on the bathroom door. The rooms were very clean; the bed linens and towels were clean and crisp. The beds were comfortable and they offered tv and internet. It was very quiet, very peaceful, the staff was pleasant and cheerful. Overall, we had a very pleasant weekend getaway. "
"Everything was perfect beds and pillows very comfortable and room was super clean. Ground Coffee machine was awesome . Breakfast was hot and plentiful choices. Stafff front desk and breakfast area super friendly and pleasant . Pool is very nice and there is an outdoor lounge area with fireplace stones that is lovely .will definitely stay again"
"I was pleasantly surprised. Staff was very friendly. I was clean. It could use an update, but it’s in a perfect location. Great for parents visiting for parents weekend."
"Our room was large, quiet, and comfortable. The bathroom was clean. We had a coffeemaker, microwave, and mini-fridge. Because of the hotel layout, we had to carry our luggage a long way to get to our room. Also, the breakfast menu was exceptionally limited -- coffee, juice, fruit cup, and granola bar. Still, this property offers good value for money."
