"Elm tree cottage was the best stay I’ve had in Yorkshire , I visit often and by far the best place I’ve stayed the hosts were lovely and kind and was great to chat too! The location was perfect in a cute little village on a farm close to Thirsk and an easy drive to York. Providing the essentials for cooking and a cozy little cottage too! Would definitely recommend and look forward to returning in the future! "

"Beautiful hotel in a great position, next to the station, minutes away from the city centre. Reception staff helpful. We stayed in the annex, we knew when we booked - a short walk under cover. I would ask reception staff for dressing gowns to use the pool as no one could figure out how to use the lockers."

"We really liked this room, liked the river view. Didn't like the check in process, it felt impersonal and odd. Without a proper front desk it was strange. We got pretty sick and tired of hearing doors constantly slamming by the last night we were there. They honestly need to find a way to put soft close hinges on these doors because it's brutal. The room was clean, temperature was great, tv was great, beds were mediocre. The pillows are awful so pack your own pillow. My half of the bed was OK but the other half needed replacing. (they put two singles side by side). All and all though, we would stay here again and it's a great location to walk over the bridge and check out all the sights."
