"Beautiful historic hotel. Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Restaurant served delicious food. Only issue was no bellhops available when we checked in at 7 pm. There is no air conditioning in the rooms but it was no too much of an issue even in July."

"Staff is fabulous!!! Gentlemen working the front (from Portugal) is a gem! He's very knowledgeable of the area & had terrific ideas for us from shopping to local events. His suggestions were spot on as to where I could find food for my dietary needs due to severe food allergies. Very clean room. Bed was comfortable. Hotel was clean. Pool and hot tub were also clean. The hotel grounds were well maintained. Hotel felt safe. Breakfast was nice & hot. Excellent bar with lots of choices. Young lady replenishing it was working hard & nonstop to keep up with the demands of the guests. She was kind enough to take the time and check an ingredient label for me. Very much appreciated that. Only complaint I would have is that the hot water lasted about 30 seconds. The staff was aware of the issue. I would stay here again."

"We have stayed here quite a few times over the years. This was a last minute trip and we booked it the same day so the pricing wasn't great but no where in Jackson ever is in the summertime. The things we were not happy about were related to the cleanliness of the cabin and the wear on it. The fridge still had food in it and I don't believe it was cleaned out by housekeeping at all. The bathroom wasn't clean and the drain in the shower had a pile of hair almost 1/2 an inch thick. It was probably one of the grossest things I've ever experienced in staying at any kind of lodging. The tv's wouldn't connect to the wifi. The A/C barely cooled. The bathroom door is so warped and swollen from the bathroom (moisture) that it would barely open or close. Finally I always wonder how clean the floors at any lodging establishment are but this time my white socks told the tale. I actually took a picture but I am not going to include it after more thought. I think they just need a bit of help in keeping things on par with what you'd expect from paying this much money. I don't know if we'll ever stay here again after this last trip which is a big shame since it is a fun and cozy setup that has given us a lot of memories over the years."
