Northwest San Antonio hotel rooms a the Independent

"Housekeeping staff was scarce!!! We asked for more towels and they said they ran out and questioned why we’d need more towels within a day and night of staying. When we decided to try the pool two days later, they had specific pool towels that were the size of a larger hand towel. Housekeeping did not come in the rooms until 3pm or so. One day they came at 9 a.m. and we said we will leave in 10 min please come back and no one ever did so we asked the front desk of someone could and they said no they don’t come back after one try. We finally got tired of waiting for housekeeping and started tying off garbage and dirty towels in the hallway and started a trend with neighboring rooms also agreeing how frustrated they’ve been with housekeeping. They need more housekeeping staff!"

"This hotel offers large rooms and a nice lobby. I liked the amenities but didn’t use them much because it was a busy weekend at the hotel. They have a sauna which is a nice touch and an outdoor hot tub. Some things are a little dated but overall it’s a great hotel and we enjoyed our experience. "

"Been to this resort every year for years. We usually don’t eat on property except for Signature (amazing) and pool side. This time we decided to stay on property and to be honest not impressed at all. We skipped big breakfast and ate at Henrietta’s not good at all!! Lunch time we ate at Spitfire and had a sandwich. Service was very slow. The sandwich was good except for all the oil saturated on the bread. Dinner we ate Mexican, not impressed at all. I truly feel for the top notch hotel i feel it is the food should be also"
