"We are 15+ year returning guests to the Lodge. We come back for many reasons, Hotel location, entertainment, room, amenities,hot tub sauna, shuttle to downtown. Customer experience training needed for p/t parking security/driver. Yelling at guests and aggressively accusing of not being a guest in the lot was not in line with this 4* hotel, all while parking the car and walking to the hotel side door. This incident proved no customer training at any level was provided to the staff who thought he needed to “police” people parking in the guest only lot and be confrontational. Hotel was advised and a of bottle of inexpensive sweet sparkling wine was sent to our room even after declining the offer - not needed. What matters is training your staff with a baseline of customer experience necessary to treat guests with courtesy and respect instead of guilty people looking for free parking. Champagne is to celebrate and this occasion didn’t warrant it, especially $10 sparkly wine. There are other ways to resolve these types of issues and it’s needed from management not just employees. "

"This was such a welcome stop especially after a long day at a rugby tournament in Spokane and then driving to Salmon. The room was clean, cozy and comfortable! Breakfast was top notch and had delicious options. The staff was above and beyond and kept everything stocked and fresh. I will definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends and family. Thank you for being awesome!"
