"Madama was my first hostel experience and it was great! Beds were comfortable and the location was great, about a 5 minute walk to the metro which can get you anywhere in Milan quickly. Area is safe and always people around, but quiet. Madama’s bistrot is very lively, so if you prefer a more quiet hostel this is not for you. "An extremely pleasant experience. The family who run the place are fantastic, helpful and attentive. Nice garden where you can enjoy your own meal. Ferry terminal is walking distance, so as the restaurants of Laveno. Free and hassle-free parking is also a plus. Would definitely return!"
