"This hotel was mainly for the location, and the location is awesome for shopping. The room and hotel itself were okay. The rooms are a little outdated, and the beds had a few minor stains on the blankets, nothing that was terrible (all of our group had some kind of stain on the blankets in every room) but definitely made an impact on our visit to the hotel. The premium lounge is awesome, but located directly next to a smoking area, and was often just filled with smoke, which made it so we never went. Again the location is 100% worth it, and if you just want to use it as we did as a place to sleep while shopping in Kyoto, then its awesome."

"The Cross hotel was wonderfully quiet — a real retreat after busy days of sightseeing — yet surprisingly convenient. It sits just off major streets with walking paths radiating out in every direction, so exploring Kyoto on foot was easy and enjoyable."
