"The place I usually stay at when I visit was full so I picked this one, as it is close-ish to downtown and gets good reviews. What I couldn’t tell from the photos is that this is a converted motel. You walk through a lobby, but then out doors to your room. If you’re on the second floor, you’re lugging your bags up stairs. The rooms are updated, and it seemed clean but there was a hair in the tub which is always a little gross. I didn’t like that the bathroom sink area is open to the room so you can’t wash your hands or do anything at the sink without waking up the whole room. A door should be added. Also, the TV made no sense. The channels were not correct and the guide didn’t work. My son is on the news there and I wanted to watch but we could never find the correct channel. And could not get streaming to work, so couldn’t watch a movie or anything. That was frustrating. The staff were nice, but we stayed 3 nights and there was zero room cleaning. That also surprised me. I know it went away with Covid, but most places I have been staying in the past year or 2 have room service again. So overall, it’s a 3* stay for me. It was fine. I should note that the bed was pretty comfortable (and I’m very picky), and the pillows were also good. I wouldn’t necessarily choose to stay here again, but would in a pinch."
