"We enjoyed our stay. This is our 6th trip to the area and first stay at mantra amphora. The hotel is in a great location and easy walking to everything. The day spa is lovely and Vivo restaurant is out front and it’s fantastic. I preferred it to Nu Nu to be honest. Our room was beautifully decorated and clean but on arrival the odour was so bad (think dog bones or a butcher shop) I had to go straight to Coles the next day, and buy a glade plug in and air freshener costing me $30 just to get rid of it. We looked everywhere, opened the doors, wiped the fridge, but couldn’t find the cause. This was the main downside. We had to constantly spray each day. Bed was comfy and spa bath in room was great after a long day. Pool area is busy. We didn’t get to try hot tub as it’s dominated continually by groups of guys drinking in it. Not great when you have little kids but we did swim in the pool. Overall it’s an ok hotel, very family orientated and we’d stay again but maybe look at Drift or Alamanda first as they are just a little bit nicer. Cairns is the most amazing place to visit and so much to do. Overall this hotel is a 3.5/5"

"1st was the code to get your key i was in flight when it was sent to me and was unable to view my email next the wifi is absolutely terrible not only in the resort but even out at the restaurants. Last was the lady that came out to give us the key was pleasant but when we left she walked right past us (and yes she did see us) and said absolutely nothing.. I guess that is how they treat there clients that are paying there salary"

"The beds were so old and hard, my husband slept on the couch and I slept on one of the kids single beds instead. The noise in the apartment was terrible, you can hear everyone in the stairwell and the footsteps on the floor above. There were also conatantly flies everywhere, even with all the screens closed. For the prive we paid I expected alot more. I will say the pool area is very family friendly though, which we enjoyed."

"On the positive side there were lovely beach views, excellent staff, and it was a great location close to everything in Palm Cove. There were nice touches like complimentary chocolates in the fridge on arrival. The things that weren’t so good included: the hot water in the shower never got past warm, the aircon in the main bedroom didn’t blow cold air when set on cool mode, the towels were small and thin and it was impossible to block out the light by closing the Venetian blinds. Additionally, the room was directly opposite the chapel so privacy was limited. Overall it was good but expensive "

"Access to Beach. Spacious Penthouse with great view. Clean, plenty of parking. Great eateries, Restaurants near by. Hosts were lovely and helpful. Cannot wait to go again. "
