"The hotel is conveniently located with easy freeway access and numerous dining options. It is an older hotel and was at one time part of the Drury family (a small chain of mid-grade business focused hotels). While the room fixtures and furnishings seem to be left over from the Drury days, it is clean and well maintained. Best of all the breakfast was surprisingly pleasant and the price was well below hotels of similar quality."

"I did not expect to have to pay for parking - I was there 2 nights and paid $68 for parking... outside... in an unsecure lot... That seemed like a calculated ripoff. The rooms had the thermostats set so that no matter what temperature you set them at - after two hours they would reset to 74 degrees. This means the room would be cool for two hours and then quickly get hot unless you physically turned the air off, then on, then reset the temperature. There was ice water offered in the lobby but it was always empty. They gave 2 free drinks, but only kept the bar open for a couple hours and it was very crowded so the wait was long. Too long for me. Brent the guy at the front desk was super nice, and I appreciated him. The omelet chef was nice to. They insisted on serving you from the buffet line - maybe to ensure you didn't take more than 2 pancakes and 3 pieces of bacon - which seemed to be the "ration." I twice heard other staff people discussing how to make sure they charged people who did not check out on time. honestly Brent was the only guy who seemed to have a clue. I would not go back to this location even though the food and room was good for 3 reasons - the thermostat hack, the parking cost, and the fact that behind the side tables beside the bed I found left over food from several days before."

"I read mixed reviews however I really liked it they were very concerned about any issues the bathroom Laboratory sink stop her thing wasn't quite right but the rest of the room was very nice the atmosphere was nice now a few of the restaurants were closed down when I was there on a Tuesday night some issues were going on but I think this sorted restaurant sounded very good and the slot machines was excellent in my opinion it had a lot of older games my favorites even though they told me they didn't have a certain game it was there on Treasure ball which was Cobra Hearts. Also had the copy and paste games loje Sparkling Nightlife. I just flat-out liked The Argosy!!"

"The entire staff is very friendly and accomidating. I have stayed there at 4 different occasions in the last year and each visit is exceptional for comfort, usefulness of the kitchenette, and the staff is awesome. They remember me each time I come back because I use often due to procedures at KU Med Ctr. I am able to take my pet with no problems and I love the fact that the floors are all hard material instead of carpet in the event of an accident. I will not stay anywhere else while in the KC area because the room prices are very reasonable, the area is very safe and convenient and there is a Quik Trip right across the street for most needs. You can't ask for a facility any more accomidating than thus one!"

"We had a fun time at the GWL. These places are great for the kids. This location is smaller than the others we have stayed at but met our expectations for our trip. As per usual the GWL is pricey but the fun the kids have make the high price point worth it. We went to an MLS game up the street and we were so happy we could walk there and not have to deal with parking and traffic."
