"From the moment we arrived at the check-in desk, our experience at the hotel was disappointing. From not allowing us to pay with my sisters credit card because her name wasn’t on the reservation, to taking a $200 deposit that they said could take 7-10 days to refund, to falsely picturing a brew-style coffee pot in the rooms which we planned for (and the coffee downstairs was awful), the pool water was cloudy on Saturday and the staff said it might be fixed Sunday. Our remote control was taped together with electrical tape and the battery kept falling out. The telephone didn’t have a base to sit on and wobbled all around the nightstand. We paid extra for a river view which was no where close to a river view. We saw a sliver of the river about 1/2 mile away, blocked by buildings and trees. We requested a late check out the night before we were to leave and the man downstairs told us rudely to call for that in the morning. Upon calling in the morning, they said it would cost an additional $25 to have late check out (no thank you). There is an Apple TV small remote box that sits on top of the tv and has a bright green light that shines right into the faces of the people in bed. It can’t be moved or the tv remote doesn’t work.
The only two positives from our stay was the bartender and the maintenance worker who helped us with our remote control. Everyone else was very rude and said no way too much (we were not requesting unreasonable things). Needless to say we won’t be back."
