North West Florida hotel rooms a the Independent

" Several issues,#1 the hotel has smelly old carpet,#2 moldy ceiling tiles#3 Grout in bathroom gross and dirty!,#4 bed not comfortable lumpy #5 the toilet over flowed on us last flush broken!! #6 continental breakfast not good! Over all needs alot of work!Disappointed!"

"Amazing place from stem to stern, from top to bottom. Food preparation and service was top-notch views were fantastic. Everything was clean. But above all one all the people were gracious and helpful."

"I stayed with my girlfriend for a week and for the price it was great. The sheets of both beds had stains there is no room service and some of the front desk lady’s were constantly miserable. "

"Was charged for parking and didn’t get parking. Evening staff refused to help but put us on hold and hung up on us. Hot water didn’t work in kitchen. Tv wouldn’t work. WiFi wouldn’t work. We left early. Rented two rooms and had a baby with us and the floor was so dirty we couldn’t set him down. Could see under the door to outside and the back door to balcony wouldn’t lock or shut all the way. Highly unsatisfied. And still waiting on the money back for leaving early. Whole experience was horrible "

"Everything was as described. For the location and amenities, it’s a great price. Sad that they didn’t have eggs or fruit for breakfast as I can’t eat biscuits and country gravy. Very responsive when we had an issue with the room. Would definitely stay again despite the breakfast issues. They did have plentiful breakfast options but just not gluten friendly options."

"All staffs we met were kind and professional. Plenty of parking spaces. Room, bed, and sheets were clean. Private balcony was nice. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the beach long hours daily. The only missing was no hangers for towels or swimsuits. We like the place and will return. Next time we remember to bring some hangers."

"This property is in excellent shape and very well maintained. Gulf view rooms deliver as promised and walk to the beach through the pool area is easy to navigate. Only down side to this property outside of its control is that there is a tourist helicopter across the street that takes off every half hour. Fun to see at it first, but rather noisy and distracting. Also, they book wedding and proms here with music going till 10pm."

"Would have beenbetter if they fixed my shower. Went to front desk twice about it and it never was fixed. Thw water didn't spray just kind of trickled out. Made washing my hair impossible. Also the light by the bed stroked when turned on. Very dark in the room without curtains open. Made getting dressed hard. Also the check in process and the two other times I went to the front desk about the shower were very long processes, around 15 minutes. I also got locked out of my room when I was leaving, it was around 935 and I brought my bags to my car and went back for my dog and my card no longer worked. I then had to walk back to the front desk to get help getting in my room."
