Tregenna Castle Resort

10/10 Excellent

"Room was clean and pleasant. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was delicious and plenty of choice. Pool was very welcome on a few very hot days one suggestion there were quite a few elderly people there ( me included ) who had trouble pulling themselves up on the steps but I couldn't get out on the other steps as there was no handrail. Very enjoyable few days ."

Great Western Hotel

"The great western is updating rooms . We got a family room that was newly renovated and it was beautifully done, we had a sea view and street view. There was a misunderstanding on my booking but staff were very helpful and sorted it all out. The hotel has limited parking but you have the option to prebook a space. We struggled with our Irish phone to book parking at the train station as it wouldn't download the app. The breakfast menu had plenty of choice. We were only passing through so did not spend anytime in Newquay."

"Good location near train station and away from the hustle and bustle of the centre. Stunning views, more than made up for out dated decor. Lovely to lie in bed listening to the waves and have an early morning cuppa. Plenty of choice for breakfast and was able to drop my bag off at the hotel on way into town when I arrived and pick up for my train when I left."
