Comfort Inn & Suites North Charleston - Northwoods
6/10 Okay
"Hotel a bit older, needs update/paint. Got to our room and door ajar. Only way to close door was to lift it up and slam. Staff not seem to concerned. "
"Getting into the parking lot is a real problem. The roads have been changed, new medians put in, so a left turn from Ashley Phosphate Road is not possible. The other entry from Mazyck Road has a fence across it.
Google Maps didn't know about any of this.
Parking lot was adequate if a bit rough.
Condition of the room was below average. The floor in the bathroom was peeling up, looked like water damage over a long time. Furniture and fixtures had broken parts and missing shelves.
The door had clearly been forced open. There were four different places where a "burglar latch" had been ripped off of the wall, one of them had been snapped off and was not removed before a new latch was installed. The bottom of the door had a gap where something must have been forced through.
This hotel is near a train track, an airport, and on a busy road, so noise levels can't be helped.
Staff were above average, very helpful when my key card stopped working."
"We were placed in a handicap room and there were lots of handicap acceories in the room and closet that were in the way. The bed was not made when we arrived. The toilet clogged. Told housekeeping about it and they did not unclog it. I had to ask for a plunger and do it myself. "
