"This hotel was a gem. Room was great, amenities were wonderful. Fresh coffee, tea and apples in the lobby. The outdoor spaces were super cute, with nice places to sit. They have blankets for chilly nights. There is a restaurant on site that looked busy. They even have a horse named Whisky. Highly recommend the Red Sands."

"Hanksville is a very small town but the hotel was clean and was totally booked. Reasonable rate, grab and go breakfast and lots of parking. We happened to get one of the rooms that was recently remodeled like brand new. Walking distance to 3 restaurants."

"We recently stayed in a Red Cliff View King Cabin, which exceeded our expectations. The cabin was very large and nicely decorated and made us feel like we were in a luxurious room, not a cabin! We loved the cleanliness, amenities, and view of the beautiful mountain cliffs from our balcony. Coffee for Keurig was repleneshed every day, giving us time in the morning to enjoy our coffee and relax before a full day of hiking. We loved that is was also SO close to Capitol Reef National Park! Check in was very thorough and quick by the desk staff. Would not hesitate to stay again if in the area. Highly Recommended!"

"The only thing that I would change is the fact that my wife and I had the top floor suite, which is all of the third floor. If it were my choice, I think I would make a key/lock for both doors (currently, one key/lock leads to the bedroom to the left at the top of the stairs and then there is access across the hall to the suite's only bathroom *which can only be locked from inside the bathroom.* Seems that the bathroom/connecting bedroom on that side of the hall is a little exposed to strangers who could "squat" while you are out, or, asleep at night, waiting for your return and then they could, in theory, make an unexpected entrance to the bath from the (unoccupied/always unlocked if unoccupied) connected bedroom. Call me cynical - maybe I live too close to the city. I wouldn't let that detail deter me from staying there again, though. Otherwise, the stay/location was magical."

"The cabin was delightful. Modern rustic. Excellently maintained. Decor was beautiful. Very clean. Great kitchen alcove. Complete eith dishes and silverware. Beds very, very comfortable. Bathroom had excellent amenities. Room was spacious and comfortable. The front porch was a dream. Sat out in the evenings and enjoyed the quiet and mountain view. Would absolutely book this again. The host was very accommodating. Helped me fix my glasses when a had to replace a screw in the frame. If I could give it a 10 I would."
