"we enjoy staying at Schooner Inn. We always get the room with the room with the whirlpool. the view is amazing and it is at the begining of the beach. usually very quiet and you can walk to Rudees Inlet. It could use a little updating. however, the rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and they have lotss of room to park."

"I liked the convenience of free parking. The staff was very helpful. What I did not like was the continental breakfast. I appreciate that is is included, but I’m not a fan of powdered eggs. Also, there were flies in the area where the food was and the things like whipped cream and toppings didn’t have anything to cover them. Some of the guests let me know before I put any on my waffles and I shared with guests as well. There needs to be a cover or top for EVERYTHING."

"The hotel was in a great location on the boardwalk; very accessible to the beach. Property was very clean, and staff were great. The hotel restaurant was a nice but a bit pricey. We enjoyed the indoor pools and jacuzzi as well. House cleaning was superb and on time. The TV screen built into the bathroom mirror was surprising and interesting. Didn't know what to make out of it. Overall, a good hotel and I'd visit it again."

"The first employee we talked to when trying to check in was rude. Her customer service skills could use some improvement. You have to pay a daily fee to park in the lot - not included in the price. The fee for having a pet was not included in our price through Expedia either. Had I have known it was going to cost extra for these things I would have shopped around a little more."

"I had a first floor handicap accessible room. The door was extremely difficult to manage due to its heaviness. Housekeeping and all staff were excellent and you can’t beat the free breakfast and food selection. Only thing that could be better would be to offer biscuits and gravy! lol Great vacation stay. Will definitely stay there again."

"If you need a nice place in Virginia Beach to stay, definitely consider this hotel. The room was very clean and had a great view, but there were a few minor things like the holder for the Charley lock being broken, and some plugs not working, but nothing major. The manager and most of the staff were very kind and hospitable, and the cleaning staff were also great, always providing new towels while we were away. Lastly, the location is also great, being close to the nearby pier, amusement park and other places."
