I booked ocean view room up on arrival we got island view been told no room available only tomorrow , few days had broken lock with malfunction of key on the way back at check out front desk messed my stay with previous guest and tried to put international phone bill on us . Horrible non professional never seen before
I found the hotel and amenities amazing. More food choices than I could eat in a week. Very clean and wonderful staff.

The food was always fresh and big spread.
Issue is that the key to the rooms do not work regularly for all hotel guests. Also lack of communication of daily activities. Otherwise it is a fabulous resort
I love the hotel and people. I would improve on the food and get a male massager. Some women prefer male massage instead of women and the jacuzzi could be hotter.

Older facility but kept spotless and all in excellent working order. Staff is the absolute gem of the resort- from the housekeeping, servers, bartenders, activities, bathroom asst. food prep you name it each and all with a smile and most delighted to be there. Room was spacious and very comfortable. Entertainment bonuses using both resorts as talent varies. All restaurants including Buffett and specialty were excellent. Did not go to casino- used concierge for excursion and transportation booking and all was amazing.
I think just avoid all inclusive in Aruba but I’d definitely not come back to the Riu Aruba Palace Antillas. The value is just not there at all. The real issue is the food. Other than breakfast and some dishes at the Krystal restaurant, it was really inedible. You can’t make reservations for dinner and most had hour plus wait times by 6:30pm (and you were waiting for not great food). There is basically no food between lunch and dinner. So many of the waitresses were unbelievably nice. Hitting head on the lamp wasn’t fun (it’s on top of bed?). The pool and beach were unusable a lot of the time as zero available chairs by 7am and no one doing their job to bring chairs around usually. The entertainment was lowly attended most nights and there was not much going on at the resort. The dancers and some singers and shows were good. The bars stock only certain quantities of alcohols like Tito’s and don’t not refill when they run out. All the bartenders were super nice. We were told by the doorman he couldn’t find us a cab and it’d be better to find it on the street (which was difficult). I complained about the food and was hoping there’d be some type of change but it really was just a serious problem. I basically stuck to breakfast which was good and then salads. I have a severe mango and papaya allergy which was quite hard to navigate, so I couldn’t eat fruit. The management was nonexistent. The internet never worked and you had to reconnect every time you wanted to use it.
We absolutely loved our stay at the RIU adults only all inclusive! The rooms were clean, they came every day and tidied up and gave clean towels. If you want your sheets changed daily you just leave a card on the bed and they do it. They restocked our mini fridge daily as well. The staff always seemed to be in the best mood, very accommodating and friendly. Pools and area around them were clean. We loved the swim up bar, wish there were more domestic beer choices, but overall very happy with the bars. The entertainment was good, all of the staff seem to really be into entertaining so that made it good. The White party was awesome, probably our favorite event. The food was good, I didn’t feel like there were a lot of differences from day to day, but it was good overall. The presentation of the food was always done very well. We would definitely stay here again, in fact we cannot wait to plan another vacation!

Restaurants are absolutely amazing. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms and entire resort was clean. We had a wonderful time here.
Easily one of the best vacation spots. Everything you could possibly need is at this resort and all of the local shops and restaurants are within walking distance if you want to leave the resort. The buffet was great and had many options. The restaurants on the resort do not take reservations so many people will arrive a half an hour early to wait in line because they stop taking people after a certain time. We didn’t want to do this but it’s an option. Drinks were available at all times. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Pools were very clean. The beach was absolutely amazing. You do have to get out there early to get a palapa but I didn’t mind because I’m a morning person. (There were several older folks who would wake up at 5/6am to “reserve” them with their towels so if you want one close to the water I’d get out there early). Overall this was a great location and we had a very positive experience. We will 100% be coming back!!

The issue with the hotel room key cards was unacceptable. The fact that if the card was kept anywhere near a phone or anything metal it would disable and we would have to get a new card and come all the way back down from the 17th floor. We had to do this 6 times during our trip. Absolutely infuriating.
The hotel was overall beautiful and we had a nice view from our room. But what was advertised as a "junior suite" was just a normal hotel room with an ocean view and balcony. No other amenity in the room.
Overall the wait staff was nice and accommodating. But the staff when you first check-in, most of them had no idea what they were doing and were not the friendliest. Asking for a simple receipt when I checked out, I was told I could not get one because I had "already checked out" and next time to ask for a receipt before I check out. I don't think there could have been a more ridiculous answer.
Finally, while the drinks were good, can you actually put alcohol in them? People come to get a little tipsy and for a good time, not to drink the equivalent of water while having spent thousands of dollars.
Upon arrival at the Riu, we quickly realized something was off. Our first room had clearly not been cleaned properly—dirty floors and stains on the bedding were immediately noticeable. To their credit, the staff moved us to another room quickly, but unfortunately that room also wasn’t clean.
We were then moved to a third room, which at least had the room type and view we had expected from the start. However, it still was not properly cleaned and even had hair in the shower drain. At that point we elected to just settle in rather than continue moving rooms.
The hallways and common areas appear very worn and poorly maintained. Carpet tiles are peeling up, elevator surrounds are coming off the walls, and stains are visible in many places. There was also a strong, unpleasant smell in the hallways throughout our stay that gave the impression there may be a larger moisture or mold issue in the building.
We also had ongoing issues with our room keys. They rarely worked properly, often requiring 10 or more swipes or a trip back to the front desk to have them reprogrammed.
The staff often seemed frustrated or disengaged. To be fair, it felt like they were dealing with a constant stream of guest complaints, which likely makes their jobs difficult.
Overall, the property appears to be struggling with basic housekeeping and maintenance, which made the stay disappointing
Elite Club oceanfront room with 2 balconies! The resort was immaculate, amenities were great. Elite Club private pool & ability to make reservations instead of having to line up at the specialty restaurants made the trip even better.
Very underwhelming. Limited restaurant selection that never said reservations required but by 730pm, they were full for the evening. This limited us to the buffet for dinner. Also, even though RIU owns two properties side by side you cannot visit the restaurants at the other resorts
The entertainment at night was mediocre at best. What was labeled as a comedy show was just a game show. There was little humor in it.
The beach and pool were clean but patrons reserved seats very early and were never removed after the two hour time limit even though it is clearly marked as being the rule. This led to limited good seating
The staff was the best part. Always helpful and accommodating. This was pretty much the only part that exceeded expectations.

Booked an oceanfront rooms with two beds as we were having a guys trip. The hotel tried putting us in rooms with only one bed and no privacy for the bathroom. When we brought the issue up to the front desk management they lied to us originally stating that they had no double bed rooms for oceanfront and blamed Expedia for the mix up. They then downgraded our rooms to oceanview with no compensation. Later they told us that the rooms that we had reservations for were booked by others until the next day and finally moved two sets of people in our group up to the rooms that were originally booked (mind you, we all booked over 6 months in advance). On checking out, we did hear other vacationers had the same issues as us.
The rooms were not consistent between us as some had amenities that the others didn’t.
The gym is disgusting and dangerous, the machines for weight lifting will leave stains on your hands that takes a bit of time to scrub clean. The equipment also shows signs of lack of maintenance as one bike sounded like the tread was off and making additional thumping sounds when a person was using it. The cables on the standing weight machines also needs to be corrected and tightened.
As for the pools, we found at least the pool that was connected to the bar had plants growing out of the drain on the bottom of the pool.
The restaurants/bars were great and the people staffing those areas were very friendly and knowledgeable, going above and beyond.
