"We didn’t want to stay in a big hotel chain, neither did we want to stay in beach shacks or risk an unknown place. Casa Colvale was a great discovery based on Trip Advisor reviews.
Located far away from the hustle & bustle of Goa, Casa Colvale is set in idyllic surroundings, on the bank of the Chapora river. Designed more like a huge bungalow, rather than a hotel, it has large open areas on each floor for sitting & dining, large verandahs, terrace and large spacious rooms & bathrooms with all...

"OLD WORLD CHARM WITH MODERN COMFORTS
Whats not to love about MARAVILHA-A lovely destination with its quaint unique styled rooms and rustic charm. It was so relaxing to live in the heart of a goan village and yet be so well connected to all the tourists spots, beaches, restaurants and cafes.
Loved the dining area,With its high ceiling and old portugese doors,is in a fanrastic sitting room that has been preserved from a 19 th century mansion.Choose to dine outdoors in their long verandah that...

"We stayed at The Sweet Lake Resort for two weeks at the beginning of November 2025 and had a wonderful experience.
• Location: The resort is set back from a quiet road in Arambol, so there was no street noise. Arambol beach is just a 3‑minute walk through the back gate—though note the route carefully, as signage is limited and we got lost the first time.
• Rooms: Spacious, clean, and airy, with huge comfortable beds, air conditioning, and ceiling fans in both the main room and shower room. Our...

"The Woodpegger was just what I needed with the amazing oceanfront view! The hospitality was above and beyond, making sure my stay was delightful; this goes from the checking in, my room attendance during and the amazing staff at the very convenient restaurant! I will definitely be staying here when I come back to Goa!"

"I had reviewed LaRiSa last week and had mentioned I'd consider altering (my 4*) review based on my 2nd experience. And I did revise it--upward! There are several reasons why I revised my review upward, including the incredible staff--Priya at the restaurant, and Hitesh (among others--I forget their names) at the reception. They had a bottle of wine waiting for me upon check in. Plus, they were very responsive and helpful through out. I'd definitely want to stay here again.
I didn't use the pool, but the water wasn't clear; it was cloudy and thus uninviting.
By the way, the restaurant at LaRiSa has some of the BEST food food ever--particularly for lunch/dinner. (The b'fast is so-so.) The Lebneh is to die for. My friends absolutely loved the spaghetti alfredo. I thought the burrata wasn't bad, particularly considering the warm Indian climes.
The environs around the hotel isn't the best; it's at least a kilometer to anywhere. The surroundings aren't unsafe, but they aren't very appealing either. But this is not something that the hotel can control.
Overall, definitely a good place to stay and chill! Recommended."
"Excellent breakfast and the staff go above an beyond in every way.
the beach is lovely, however the hotel does not have any facilities on the beach (loungers etc)
They also need more loungers around the main pool as there were only 8.
however the property is in a great location, the rooms are excellent and the staff superb."
"The most horrible experience I have had and their service is terrible! Don't rely on the reviews as they have bought good reviews! Trust me, he staff here, especially the manager does not care about guests having a positive experience.
We checked in at 4 pm, way beyond the check in time and both the front desk staff gave us completely different info about our package, that is fine. We enter the room and things are dirty, coffee station has milk powder all over, washroom isn't clean at all, the bed covers and towels have stains on. The shower gel bottles are fully empty and not refilled. We ask for water, 10 mins later we are told that bottles water is chargeable and they have aro filtered water. We agree to that, 15 mins later they come and give bisleri bottles stating the aro water isn't ready. 3 hours after checking in and providing all the documents, they call me up saying they forgot to take my Indian visa and I had to go present it to them again. I called the manager expressing everything I feel and he did absolutely nothing about it. He told me on the phone that he is off for the day and he will take care of me or contact me the next day... Absolutely no news for him.
The next morning we got disturbed since the staff kept knocking on the door saying housekeeping and being super noisy... Apparently they were filming a promotional video.
Pls trust me and DO not stay here, the most horrible service and experience. Go stay at a proper reputable hotel"
