"The lack of helpfulness from the staff was honestly shocking. There was an incredibly long line at the front check-in desk, while a manager slowly wandered around instead of stepping in to help. And it was clear we weren’t the only ones frustrated. While waiting to check in, we overheard multiple guests complaining that their rooms still weren’t ready. That pretty much summed up the experience.
I also couldn’t get through to the front desk when we needed basic items like hand soap, and when we returned to our room at 3:30 PM, it still hadn’t been cleaned. Unfortunately, the issues just kept adding up throughout our stay."
"The place is old and icky. Terrible mattress and pillows. WiFi kept kicking me out.
Noisy. Awful breakfast options.
Run down.
Staff seems annoyed and bothered instead of helpful.
I felt unsafe."
"The hotel was reasonably priced. My issues with it were that a couple of the white bath towels had stains on them that made them disturbing to use once I noticed them. From the smell of the towels, the stains were old, not from us. We kept our Do Not Disturb sign up but the one day we wanted service, i asked the front desk if they could send housekeeping to our room, the man at the front desk said he would put in a request for housekeeping to my room but when we returned at the end of the day, no housekeeping had come to our room. I thought that was dishonest on the part of the front desk staff. On our last day though, there was a lady at the front office that went above and beyond when she took my 'cup of noodles' to the restaurant kitchen to put hot water in them so i could eat them in my room. That was much appreciated!"
"Hotel did not match the photos or expectations set on Expedia. Room was dark, outdated, and had a musty odor. The carpet was old and unclean, and overall the property is worn down and poorly maintained.
The AC was loud, making it difficult to sleep. On top of that, there is a freight train directly behind the hotel, loud enough that the hotel provides guest rooms with ear plugs!
The bed was overly soft and dingy. There was only a rough sheet and an extremely thin cover that barely functioned as a comforter. No proper blanket was provided.
The bathroom was tiny and outdated. The elevator was very small and clearly very old. This property is not a hotel. It is more like an older motel or motor lodge, with room doors opening directly to an outdoor courtyard.
The biggest issue was safety and location. Downtown Spokane in this area felt unsafe, especially late at night, with a significant homeless presence nearby. Parking was off-site a couple blocks away, requiring me to drag luggage through the streets close to midnight.
Overall, the property felt rundown and insecure enough that I ended up placing a chair and luggage against the door while trying to sleep. It was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I genuinely worried about cleanliness and left hoping I didn't bring home bed bugs.
I arrived around midnight and checked out as soon as the sun rose the next morning. I could not leave fast enough. Beware...this is not Ruby Suites Hotel or the Ruby River Hotel!!!"
"The staff were great! Bar was out of some liquor and some of the menu items! That’s my only complaint. Other than that great job. Would recommend staying here"
