"Die Lage am Aartalsee ist bestechend. Unser Zimmer 10 im Annex war offensichtlich teilrenoviert (Badezimmer). Der alte verfleckte Teppichboden ist jedoch nur noch eklig und hätte offensichtlich schon vor vielen Jahren ausgetauscht gehört. Zum Zimmer gehört eine Mini-Terasse mit 2 Stühlen (nicht in der Beschreibung), allerdings in einem ungepflegten und teils verwilderten Aussenbereich. "The place was so nice we went back for a second stay. The breakfast was very good. The dinning room had big windows and wonderful views to look out as you ate. The rooms were roomy and clean. Each floor had a common room were we could sit and visit with relatives. There was plenty of parking at 10euros. There was an elevator from the cover parking to each floor. There was a small garden to walk through."

"The property is conveniently located in close proximity to several bakeries, restaurants and shops. Very walkable to get anywhere in town, and public transportation is available close by. Overall, the hotel was quiet and the room was comfortable and clean. Please note that the room does not have a private bath attached. A shower and restroom is available on each floor so as long as you are comfortable with that, this is a nice place to stay. There is a community kitchen on the first floor that can be used by the guests. An elevator is not available since it is an old building, be prepared to walk up some steep stairs to your room with your luggage. Parking is not available at the property. Check in and check out is easy and convenient. Hotel staff is friendly."

"The hotel was amazing, great location, accessible to a bus line and amazing neighborhood grocery store, and local restaurants. The hotel was extremely clean, the breakfast was amazing with a variety of food options each day. I am vegetarian and the food was fresh. Most importantly all of the staff was remarkable and the cost was reasonable. I would strongly recommend this hotel if you are in the Gießen area."

"The hotel looks like a tiny hamlet of old farm buildings which have recently been renovated. A definite rustic feel to it. Parking is 100 m in front of the hamlet. Hotels.com failed to list this hotel as having a restaurant. As such I ate junk food on the way to the hotel, only to find the perfect restaurant for me. I made space for a delicious salmon salad and wonderful glass of Riesling! The room was good and I slept very well. The only missing utility which I always need as a business traveller, was a desk. I suspect, this would also effect females needing a dressing table. I was shown an alternative room with a tiny glass table. Anyway, it didn't spoil my stay. Wonderful staff. Not too expensive. Great hotel and I would definitely stay again."
