Romantic Hotels in Nicoya Peninsula, Costa Rica

"We had an overall nice stay at the Hotel Riu Guanacaste. The property itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and very clean, with stunning views and a relaxing atmosphere that really makes it feel like a true getaway. That said, there were a couple of areas that could use improvement. Housekeeping was inconsistent during our stay, and at times it felt like attention to detail was lacking. The food was also just okay. There was a good variety, but the quality didn’t quite match the rest of the resort experience. Overall, it’s a pretty and enjoyable resort, especially if you’re looking to relax and enjoy the scenery. With a few improvements in service and dining, it could easily be a top-tier experience."

"The pictures looked nothing like the resort. The resort was run down, every lounger was broken, hammocks had holes etc. The room was not the cleanest- mirrors had a thick film, perimeter + corners all had debris. The food in the pictures did not exist and in fact the food was awful! It was the same everyday, beans rice + meat. The view however was amazing, the staff was great and the drinks were nice and stiff. "

"The pool view was amazing. Food and drinks were good and the shuttle into town was a lovely addition so we could go out for dinner. Every room has a view as well. "

"The property grounds are beautiful. The staff are extremely kind and helpful. You are in a garden in the middle of town without feeling like you are in town. The rooms are cold and comfortable. The breakfast food was great and the drinks are delicious! We got married at the Diria and it was everything we wanted and more!! "

"Same menu for the entire stay, with not much variation... so-so snacks. The chicken nuggets and hamburgers were awful. Room had no view- just looking at palm trees. Did not feel welcomed at all. Everyone seemed to have a chip on their shoulder... "
