Beautiful hotel. Recently renovated. We were upgraded to a Presidential suite with an amazing view of the falls. Water pressure in the shower wasn't great. Some construction going on so it was a little noisy at times. They were having issues with the elevators also. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
We were pressured to upgrade our room upon check-in. The room was spacious and we had a great view of both falls, but the hotel was in disarray. Most elevators were not working and there are over 40 floors, so it caused a lot of delays. Breakfast on our 3rd day changed to a new location (IHOP) and led to a 1-2 hour delay for food. We also didn’t know the hotel was changing from Embassy Suites to Hyatt until our last day. It might improve once renovations are done, but it would have even nice to have a heads up about the disruptions in advance.
Shuttle from the hotel to off site parking was super great they provide service 24/7 was told they operated every 15 mins but i nevwr waited over 5 mins. Rooms where clean and hotel staff was very friendly. The only downfall was that I got breakfast included which was hosted at the STK onsite restaurant and we waited over 2 hours to be serviced and was asked for our order more than 5 times by the waitress which seems like he kept forgetting what we ordered and twice other persons food was taken out to us. Manager came out and apologized. But poor service.Didn't went back for breakfast the next day.
Loved our stay here. The rooms were very large and comfortable. The 3 queen suites for our family of 6 well. The best feature was definitely the view of the falls!
The staff very very friendly and helpful in the hotel and in the restaurant for breakfast. We were upgraded to an amazing room with a fantastic view of the falls for a very small upcharge. Our stay was excellent
We were here last year and decided to stay here again. This time our room and entire floor is newly renovated. Great staff, good breakfast, a lot of amenities, awesome view and close to everything.
Stayed the same night it changed from Embassy Suites to Hyatt.
Absolute disaster and so poorly planned.
Needless to say Expedia nor embassy suites warned me.
I booked a double room specifically on floors 10–25 because I have a fear of heights. However, at check-in, I was assigned a room on the 38th floor. When I politely asked to switch to a lower floor, none were available. I then requested a refund since the room did not match what I booked, they said it is not possible and that floor preferences are not guaranteed.
This makes no sense—why offer floor selection during booking if it’s not honored? I was even told that if I wanted a lower floor, I would need to change the room type and pay an additional $200, which is completely unreasonable.
The customer service was extremely disappointing. The male staff member cut me off repeatedly while I was speaking, and a female staff member (possibly named Yazmin) was smirking beside manager. Neither of them wore name tags, even the manager which is very unprofessional for a hotel.
Instead of addressing my concerns, they rushed me aside, saying they needed to help the next guest. There was no apology, no courtesy, and no basic respect.
As a paying guest, I have the right to have my requests at least taken seriously. This was, without a doubt, the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had.
Unfortunately, this hotel is under renovation so some amenities were not available or up to the standard, I grew accustomed to from past visits with my family.
When I booked this hotel, there was no mention it was under renovation. This is useful information to know about when booking or looking for accommodation.
The hotel was undergoing renovations, and an ownership change. Elevators were not operational. Staff was not successful with transitioning from buffet breakfast to restaurant style breakfast. It was loud there were a lot of construction workers. And unfortunately, all the amenities that we were looking forward to when it comes to an Embassy suites we’re no longer available due to the ownership change.
This was an awful experience. It started when we arrived at 4pm on the first day. Check in time is 4. The Hotel was doing a change over from Embassy suites to Hyatt Regency. Rooms keys were not working at that time. It was an hour and a half from the time we got to the Hotel to the time we were able to get in our room. There was tons of renovations and construction going on, which I understand needs to be done at some point, but half of the elevators were not working so to wait for an elevator during the entire stay took at least 10 minutes or more not to mention how many time the elevators stopped at the floor we were on but they were so full of people no one else could get on. My daughter and I had to walk up 20 flights of stairs with our luggage just to be able to get in our room the hour and a half after we arrived.
Once we were in our room, do to the construction we could hear drilling and banging through the day below us.
There was a big lounge with falls view that was closed the entire time we were there that would have been nice to sit and enjoy the view. The hotel store was also closed the entire time we were there, my daughter forgot her toothbrush so we could not buy one there.
During our stay I kept receiving a text from the hotel asking how my stay was going. Of course I detailed in the text the issues we were having and it it said was we are sorry please contact the front desk. I tried calling front desk 3 times no answer. Just 1/2 the issues still ch. Full $
