Small town charm

This is a very nice inn and our room was very comfortable. The staff is family and that was felt by us, very welcoming. The food that was served was also very good.

Good communication

We had booked into the Glen to break our journey from Harris to Edinburgh and unfortunately delayed by both ferry and 40 mile diversion. The level of communication from the hotel was excellent and they were very accommodating in regard to our much later arrival. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast excellent

This place was amazing. Great custom order breakfast. Rooms were great. Near a nice street to shop and just down the road from a place for groceries if needed. Owners were nice and accommodating. Parking lot does get full at night as it’s a pub/restarting as well.

We originally had another place booked, but after visiting the breathtaking Glencoe and Fort William area, we decided on a whim to stay one more night nearby. We made a same-day booking at The Glen Hotel, and it was one of the best decisions of our trip. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, which truly made us feel at home. But what stood out the most was the breakfast — each guest’s order was taken individually and prepared with care. It was unlike anything we’ve experienced elsewhere, and it made for a truly memorable morning. I highly recommend this place to anyone passing through or exploring the area. It was a beautiful and heartwarming experience.

Eventhough hotel sent a message about their employee vacancy, no bar and restaurant didn't open at Sunday and Monday nights. It looks like a ghost hotel. This info noticed only in Hotels.com message and not to my email to reconsider this reservation. All the facilities are very much old and inconvenient including not serving the new towel everyday. Due to all those reason, they serve free Tuesday continental breakfast, but it is hard to believe that will compensate the money for my booking. I can't believe why this hotel got higher review point.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The room was lovely, clean and warm. We had dinner which was excellent. Our breakfast the next morning really set us up for the day. I really liked that all the food came piping hot. Would recommend this hotel, the hosts were very nice and welcoming

Ich wurde herzlich empfangen. Das Zimmer ist wie beschrieben und im makellosen Zustand. Das Bad ist funktionabel und sehr sauber gewesen. Das Dinner am Abend hat mir sehr gut gefallen, gute Auswahl mit Extra Karte und wirklich gutem Service. Gute Auswahl an gezapften Bieren. Leider war es schon sehr früh leer im Pun (an einem Freitag Anfang Oltober). Der sehr freundliche Inhaber meinte, dass die wirtschaftliche Lage aktuell sehr angespannt ist nach Brexit und COVID und die Leute das Bier lieber zu Hause trinken. Schade! Alles zusammen eine ehrliche authentische Location, ich kann sie ehrlich weiterempfehlen!

I really liked this charming Hotel. Hard to put my finger on why exactly but I felt welcomed by the staff, dinner of fish and chips was good and breakfast ample and tasty. Bed was comfortable, shower hot, easy car parking. Good value for the price in a charming town setting. I would return.
