"The room we stayed in was clean, and from the window you could see the beach. A 5 minute walk to the beach, good range of food for breakfast continental, and cooked. You book a meal in the evening if you want to, just give them notice because it does get busy in the evening, there is also a bar there if you want one."
"Absolutely loved staying here, from start to finish. I have severe anxiety and prefer booking hotels that are part of a chain, as I have a better idea of what to expect. So for me, booking here was a big risk in my eyes.
So glad I did. Staff were welcoming, big smiles, polite, took the time to explain everything about how the pool worked, breakfast and checkout times and made me feel totally at ease. So much so, I actually asked to extend my stay by a day which was absolutely no problem.
Had an issue one day where a bird had gotten into my room and messed up my bed (my own fault for accidentally leaving the window open a tad too wide) but the staff sorted it immediately when I reported it to them. Also forgot my card key when I went out one night and again the night staff were on hand to get me back in my room!
Breakfast was good for the price point. Especially enjoyed the pastries, fried eggs and orange juice. Items were well stocked, staff were friendly upon greeting me in and prompt in finding me a seat.
Kilbirnie Hotel did warn me prior to arrival about building work next door, and despite being in a room next to it, disruption was surprisingly minimal.
Overall, would come back here again. Staff were fantastic. Big shout out to Catherine on reception! You were especially awesome!"
"The staff were very helpful from booking until check out and I cannot thank them enough.
Our room was bright and spacious and whilst could benefit from being updated, I understand plans are underway for this.
Hotel breakfast is usual hot and cold buffet and plentiful to start the day.
Great location, lovely views and very convenient. A very enjoyable stay."
"For the price 1 paid for a 1 night stay in August I was pleasantly surprised my room was spotless
The lady on reception was very helpful with my enquiry’s. The only thing I didn’t like was My room overlooked a small patio area, which could do with a tidy up"
"I had a great stay for two nights. I enjoyed the breafasts each day very nice and freshley cooked and tbought staff were lovely. Location is noce and close to the beach for a nice eveing walk . Dinner there was also very nice . Overall i m plaesed and look forward staying again"
"Location of the hotel excellent. Bar and restaurant staff are very nice, helpful and friendly. Car parking provided within the premises was great. Only downside is the room needs a bit more uplift."
"The hotel was perfect, our room clean and kept nice over our stay. The breakfast was unbelievable, so much choice. All very tasty and fresh, so very pleasing to the eye and the stomach. The staff to include;Ty, Thomas, Amy, kwan and bartenders. And the breakfast greeters.
My massage that I had with Amilie was out of this world so I booked another one, she was so pleasant and excellent at her job, the best ever. I worked for Marriott hotels for 25 years, I know good service when I see it. Thank you to all the staff and mgmt for making our stay fabulous. Steve & Lauri"
