"We stayed here for one night and loved it. The property is newly refurbished and beautifully done. Great food and drinks, lovely bar area, great staff throughout. It felt like a luxury stay right down to the large bath sheet size towels. The property is old with lots of character. Just one word of warning that the room we had booked had a low ceiling in the bathroom which meant that my husband (6'3") couldn't stand upright. They moved us into a different room with no fuss but if you're staying...

"My room was a little tired, but for the price I wasn't expecting the Ritz. Perfectly functional, with comfy bed, good shower over bath. Nice extras of biscuits and bottled water. Staff in pub great, food really tasty, food and beer very reasonably priced. Felt very safe and welcomed as a single traveller. Will happily return."
