Pros- Speedy check in and easy check out, room was clean and tidy, free parking on site, fan in room, amenities given, commitment as per booking Cons- (not the fault of the inn but caused us no sleep on the first night) Druggies who kept trying to poach us and our car. Our bathroom door was broken (we did not inform anyone during our stay). The safety aspect kept me on tenterhooks during the stay but I cannot fault the room, cleaning or service.

Location good - facilities old

Good location close to the centre of New Plymouth, the museum and Coastal walk. Facilities are rather dated. Basic but adequate kitchen. Shower was way too strong and the water pressure couldn't be controlled.

We just needed a one night stay in a motel & we have stayed at Braemar Motor Inn a few years ago and were happy with it so booked in for the one night. The owner was very friendly. Our room was very clean and tidy, a comfy bed with clean sheets. No noise to keep us awake. We were very happy with our stay there and would recommend it. The building is old but everything works fine.

Dont judge a book by its cover. We had a very peaceful stay and our opinions of the exterior were quickly humbled. The interior had been updated, and it catered for all our absolute essentials. The longterm neighbour's were friendly and considerate of our spaces and helpful with advice. We had absolutely no complaints about anything.

Would recommend that Expedia makes clear that this is a motel for the homeless. This made us slightly nervous with patched people around. However having said this our room was clean & the facilities were good and we had a good stay without any issues like some other reviewers had. The office lady was pleasant and helpful..
